Backpack Drive!
Summer has gone fast! Many of us have “Back to School” preparations on our minds. This year, Hogan Family Dental is launching our first “Back to School Backpack Drive” because we want local students to have an excellent start to the school year with the necessary supplies and gear.
Partner Agencies
We are partnering with local agencies including CNADA, R.O.C.K.S, Head Start, and the Foster Care Program to collect school items for students during the month of August.
Backpacks – Purchased!
Drs. Eric and Robin Hogan have purchased backpacks and we are asking for your help to fill them with needed school supplies to benefit local kids. Additionally, if you happen to know any school children that would benefit from having this kind of help, please let us know.
Learning Potentials
We hope your children have had a great summer and have expanded their horizons! Many local students have had the chance to participate in a variety of summer camps, spend time reading, and enjoy simple playtime and athletic activities. As we all transition into preparing for another school year, we would like to remove a “concern” for some local students and parents with gifts of filled backpacks. It is important for all students to have the needed resources and be able to concentrate on what they need to do most: LEARN!
Our Goal
Our goal is to fill 25 backpacks with needed supplies and have them ready to donate to these local organizations.
School Supply List
Items needed to fill the backpacks include: #2 pencils, pens, boxes of Kleenex, disinfecting wipes, rulers, pencil boxes, crayons, markers, scissors, glue sticks, bottles of hand sanitizer, white copy paper, and reusable plastic water bottles.
Deadline
Supplies are being collected now and will be accepted through August 29th.
Any Excess
Please note that each backpack may not have every item that is required by each teacher, but will contain many essential items that will prove helpful. Any excess items collected will be donated to schools for teachers to use throughout the year when supplies run low.

We invite you to help us in this “Back to School Backpack Drive”. Feel free to involve your children in helping their classmates! This backpack drive can help teach children the value of giving to others. Sharing the principle of ‘paying forward’ or ‘giving back’ to their community is an invaluable one and can make an impact for years to come. As a means of saying thank you to all who help us in this endeavor, the name of each donor will be entered to win $25.00 in Miles City Chamber Bucks or a Lego® set. Winners of the drawings will be announced on the first day of school, August 31st.
